Philips SHP9500 vs. 9600
I bought the original SHP9500 for $54 on New Egg back in 2017, and still use it to this day. It's a perfect example of a headphone that has no business being so cheap, as I've always said I place it's actual value at around $200.
Nowadays, it goes for a bit more than what I originally paid (around $75 most of the time), and remains relevant because it provides a crisp, mostly neutral, and incredibly revealing sound, rivaling many headphones costing exponentially more.
Recently, the SHP9600 came out, and of course I had to jump on it to see what Philips changed. Is it better? Did they fix some of the issues present in the 9500? Did they add more bass? All of these answers and more can be had for the low low price of $99.99. Just pay shipping and handling. HAHA just kidding.
